The Inn At Cape Cod
The Inn at Cape Cod is one of our newest sites, and we are very proud of the dynamic design and the careful thought that went into making the site optimized for search engine ranking. Using Flash design and Cascading Style sheets, our designers tried to make the website as elegant and lovely as the Inn itself. We also included a Blog in the site design, a huge benefit to any bed and breakfast website these days; it allows for current events in the community to be part of the subject of the website. This in turn encourages better Search Engine Optimization through link building and greater content to be indexed by search engines.
The Old Website
The Inn at Cape Cod was ready for a website that was going to improve their Search Engine Ranking and be more user-friendly for their guests. Their previous site was built before 2000, which made it older than 80% of the material currently on the Internet. Another process essential for bringing the look of the website together was cohesive branding: the carrying of a design theme throughout the pages of the website. It gives the site a flow and pleasant look that the guest can expect to find upon reaching the Inn.
A New Design
With such a beautiful facility, we wanted to share with potential visitors just how lovely the Inn was and itŐs unique location, as well as its long history as a center for hospitality to weary travelers. A series of high-quality, attractive photos of the inn gave our designers plenty to work with while crafting this unique website. Beth, our head designer, used inspiration from the Inn itself to help her tie together a design theme that reflects the feel and location of the Inn.
Results
The site went live in June of 2008. Since then, we have only seen improvements in their web ranking and search engine placement. They are now #1 for the search term "Inn on Cape Cod" and "Cape Cod Inn" they rank 4th on Google, Yahoo and MSN. With the Search Engine Optimization work we continue to do for them their placement will only increase as well as their reservations.
