It is a very large site, and is also built completely in WordPress. This allows the owners to change almost all aspects of the site with minimal assistance from us. If they want to add pages or change photos, the WordPress interface makes it quite easy.  With some training, they are underway!

Another great things about having a site in WordPress: backup copies of your pages are clearly saved, so you can always feel confident when changing pages that nothing has to be permanent if you don’t want it to be. It is easy to add items into the main navigation of the site, as well as create Menu labels for those items so that a long title can still fit into a narrow navigation structure.

We look forward to see great results from this new Vail lodging site. Maybe we can come for a vacation sometime as well!

New Web Site Design for Voss Inn

The Voss Inn, a Montana Bed and Breakfast in Bozeman, had a site that was begging for a face lift. They had been a promotion client of ours for over a year, and we were excited to merge their great Search Engine Optimization from the last year with a modern web site that was current with web standards and reflected the unique and beautiful Victorian that Frankee and Bruce so lovingly maintain. As they continue with their promotions, it will be that much easier to increase the Voss Inn’s visibility online for both their primary and secondary key phrases.

Already we have seen these improvements in Google Search:

• Average visit up from 2 minutes to 5 minutes
• Bounce rate down from 46% to 29%
• Average pages per visit up from ~2 to ~6

Pinecrest Bed & Breakfast, Asheville NC

New Pinecrest Inn B&B Web Site

The Pinecrest Bed and Breakfast came to us desperate to see improvements on their organic placement on Google. Several years earlier, owner Stacy Shelly enjoyed first page placement for most of her primary key phrases in the competitive region of Asheville North Carolina. But, as her site aged and new developments were made in web viewing and web site design, she saw her site slip off page one.

Like so many of our clients, Stacy’s North Carolina Bed and Breakfast is a stunning Tudor-style home that has been maintained with love and dedication for over 100 years. So the first thing to make her site more appealing was to take some new photos of her property. She hired Christian Giannelli, one of our favorite photographers, to capture the beauty and elegance of her inn. We then used his photos and our skills to make Stacy a site that will allow her to climb back onto page one for her desired search terms. Stacy told us that after looking at about 100 bed and breakfast web sites online, she enjoyed the designs by Beth Logan the best.

An interactive map, one of our specialties here at InsideOut, makes it easy to navigate through the site and find out more about the different regions. Once you zoom into a particular area, major highways, rivers, and with accredited B&Bs appear.

We try to make our sites as easy as possible for potential customers. We have the inns organized by region, amenities, city, specials, and alphabetically. That way, hopefully, they will find whatever they are looking for without a struggle.

There is also an in-depth travel guide included on the site. Each region of the state has information on family or romantic travel, thrifty travel tips, nature-based travel, meeting and event facilities and recommendations about how to get “off the beaten path”.

Good-bye gray skies and evergreens, hello palm trees and sandy beaches-at least for a couple of days. We were lucky enough to have Pat McCauley and Jeff Logan representing us in Florida at the end of last month for the Florida Bed and Breakfast Inns (FBBI) annual conference. Held in Lake Wales, some of the most important folks in the B&B industry gathered in the sunshine state to discuss this year’s theme; “The Keys to Success”.

Jeff Logan spoke on the importance of every inn’s online presence with a lecture called “Get Going with Google”. He also unveiled the new Florida Bed and Breakfast Inns website to excited members.

Jeff and Pat helped the innkeepers continue to fill information for their businesses into the website database. One of the reasons InsideOut has seen so many contracts for State association websites is because we include features and details that make the site easy to use, present information in an organized and readily available manner, and of course, make it look as lovely as the state itself.
